HESP

The HESP Office of the Office of Student Affairs focuses on enhancing the public nature of higher education and improving the student education assistance mechanism, helping economically and culturally disadvantaged students to "replace work-study with learning" so that students can balance their academic work and daily needs simultaneously.

The support mechanism for socioeconomically disadvantaged students includes many programs to provide services that meet the learning needs of students, such as “course study program” to consolidate students, an “ability empowerment program” to emphasize interdisciplinary learning and problem-solving skills, "self-directed learning student community” is for students’ curious exploration and “job and career guidance program” to link the workplace.

It is like a journey for students to study at NKUST. The HESP Office of Student Affairs enables socioeconomically disadvantaged students to obtain learning resources and financial support during the trip and continue accumulating self-worth and improving their problem-solving ability. After the journey, students enter the workplace and achieve a successful life in the future.
